I am a former Greens Newcastle City Councillor (2004-2008) and stood as a Greens candidate for Ward 3 in the local government elections held in September 2008.
I also served a term, representing the ALP from 1995-1999.
I served as Deputy Lord Mayor in 1999 and 2004-05. I have been an active worker for community, the environment, heritage and the union movement since the 1970s.
I retain a keen interest in local government affairs and am a member of Newcastle Greens Local Government Reference Group.
